About this campaign

I found Sam at a shelter in Sacramento. I adopted him on June 11, 2016. Little did I know we rescued each other. He is a super soft sweetheart. Unfortunately, some one was probably very cruel to him and I was the result. He has been super timid. He ended up being a foster dog friend which was instrumental in those dogs being successfully adopted.

Sam had a needle biopsy a few weeks ago and it looks like he has mast cell cancer. He has a lump on his right front ankle. It needs to be removed and then a full biopsy needs to happen on the mass. After that biopsy then will see where that journey goes. But for right now, I really need funds for the surgery so he can get this removed from his leg.

Sam is amazing. I am a single woman who is aging somewhat gracefully. I’ve had three strokes and Sam has been right there with me. He is my precious four-legged child. He brings great joy into my life and lots of comfort. My kids are grown and out of the house, it’s amazing how this dog is so in touch with me as I am With him and helping him through his issues. He has come so far

I am on a very fixed income due 3 strokes I am currently on disability. I do work two days a week very part-time. and yes, it was me who chose not to get pet insurance. I even make Sam’s dog food. But here we are today.
