About this campaign
My former neighbor was walking his dog one evening and came across a puppy wandering around alone near a homeless encampment. He took him to see if he was micro chipped or if anyone was looking for him and he wasn’t. My neighbor brought him to my house knowing that my 19 year old dog was declining quickly and that helping this two month old, 20 pound guy would be good for my healing
Sam has integral in my healing after I lost my 19 year old dog, Lola. He is currently a licensed service dog. He goes with me everywhere and is completely devoted to myself and my seven year old daughter, Grace. He is always happy and keeps me from sitting inside and letting my depression get out of control. We go for walks several times a day and it keeps my head clear and happy.
Sam has gotten to be a very big boy but he has tried, from the beginning, to be as in control of his big paws and big goofy body. My daughter was five when we got him and he has been in love with her since day one. He is always interested when she is playing with her toys and wants her to let him play too. It’s taken some time but he and my daughter have solwly learned how to play together gently
Sam is a very healthy boy. This is his first boo-boo. He has had an oral abscess for almost two weeks now and while it has varied in size, it isn’t going anywhere. The veterinarian said that he needs to have the pocket removed and it is going to cost $1300. I applied for both of the credit programs offered to me here but was, unfortunately, denied for both.
I was recently laid off from my job and have no income at this time. While this abscess is not life threatening at this time, it has caused his energy level to drop. He is usually a very happy silly energized puppy and it is as if it has zapped that away from him.
