Sammy is a 9-year-old Australian Cattle Dog in Lakewood, CO, who needs $475 for dental diagnosis.

I took in Sammy from her previous owner who could no longer take care of her. She got Sammy from her ex-husband who is currently in jail (I don't know why). Sammy has become my right hand, my partner in crime, and of course my best friend. When Sammy came to me she was timid, scared easily, and had a few health issues. Since then we've taken care of many things, and she has grown strong!

Sammy is the sweetest dog ever everyone who meets her adores her. When we go on walks she wants to say hi to everyone and give lots of love to them. She's super soft and loves to be pet and sheds like a snowstorm. It's nice for me because the more she interacts with people the better her day! She is such a help, she helps me interact with other people and reminds me to take my medications.

Please know that I worked for a long time until my first episode. I am only waiting to return until my doctor gives the okay. For now, stress can become a catalyst to another episode. I love Sammy and she deserves better and I am sorry that I have to ask for a hand out!

Her teeth are broken and decayed which is causing her pain and generally making her sluggish. I have no idea what caused the broken teeth. They were already broken when she came to me. I was told she has several months before this would be a major issue and that times up. Since then she has had two exams with different Vets (trying to find the right one). She has been Spayed, Shots, Glands, Nails

When I first got her we went to the park, she saw something and immediately dragged me back to the car. She was so freaked out and didn't settle until I started to drive away. I didn't see anything myself but later, while talking with some neighbors they told me that there have been sightings of mountain lions in our area. I think she may have saved my life!
