Samson is a 1-year-old Cockapoo in Asheville, NC, who needs $1,400 for CT Scan.

My daughter bought me little Samson for my birthday. He was 10 weeks old when we brought him home on May 12th. He started getting sick on May 20th when I took him to the vet and they told me he more than likely has a liver shunt which would require surgery. He has been to Upstate Vet where they will do a CT scan to see if surgery is an option.

He has the most precious temperament and is so good with all of my grand children as well as the other 2 pit bulls and 2 cats. He loves to sleep on his back and play with the kids. He is the best thing that has happened to our family. Since he spent the night at Upstate Vet, Asheville and has a regimented medication dose, he has been more playful/more interactive than the previous 2 weeks.

I am unemployed currently and have spent more than I can afford for Samson, however, he is a special little guy that we love dearly and we want to see what our options are with whether or not he qualifies for surgery. He is our family now and we will do whatever we can.

We recently found out that chances are he has a liver shunt. This is an operable issue if it is on the outside of his liver, if it is internal, it would be too invasive and chances are not good that he would survive. We have an appointment at Upstate Vet, Asheville, NC on June 15th to have a CT scan to see if he qualifies for surgery. If he does, we may need to request more money.

OMG is all I can say. This little guy is very determined, especially when he is having his worse days. You can call his name and even when he isn't feeling it, he will lift his little head and try his hardest to get to you. He knows that he is loved and that he loves us. He has made our little family whole. He stole our heart from the start.
