When Samuel arrived at ACF's rescue gate, their hearts broke. He was trembling with fear, dehydrated, burning with fever—and suffering from a massive, infected wound on his head. It was clear this poor boy had been in agony for far too long.

Sweet Samuel has been giving everything he has to recover—but these past few days have been especially hard on him.

Despite the gentle care, the medicine, the cleanings, and the love he’s surrounded with, Samuel is slowing down. He’s become more lethargic, and his body is clearly struggling to keep up with the demands of healing such a massive and deeply infected wound.
