Sandy is a 7 year old Maltese in Grand Prairie, TX, who needs $1,000 for Ongoing Cardiac Care & Diagnostics.

We adopted Sandy after a woman needed to rehome her urgently. We bought her everything to help her settle in comfortably. I took her in the day before my 10th birthday. Now, I’m almost 18 and she’s turning 8. I named her Sandy after my favorite movie, Grease.

Sandy has a heart murmur and struggles with coughing and heavy breathing. She’s on Vetmedin and cough tablets, but she needs more exams and possible treatments like new medication or even surgery. She’s being seen at Penny Paws Animal Hospital, and the costs are more than I can handle alone.

Sandy is not just a pet, she is my best friend and family. She loves sunset hikes, eating berries, dressing up, dancing, cuddling beside me, giving kisses, car rides, playing with her puppy cousins, and spending time together. Playful and loving, she has been my comfort through the toughest times. She listens, comforts, and curls up beside me every night. I truly cannot imagine life without her.
