About this campaign
Sandy and her brother were purchased from Craig’s list. They were both 11 weeks. She has been a part of my family for 13 years. Sandy has always lived indoors. She has her own bed and 2XL kennel that stays open so she can go in and out on her own.
Sandy first became ill May 2023. I took Sandy to 2 different doctors who diagnosed her with pneumonia. Both doctors took x-rays and put her on antibiotics. July 2023 she was still having a hard time breathing, not eating and weak. I took Sandy to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialist July 2023. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. She has responded good to treatment.
Sandy is very loving. Allows my adult children’s smaller pets to crawl on her and snuggle next to her. She lays next to my grandson as though she is watching him. She will bark if he moves.
I lost my job and have a new job that provides me less financial means. Being able to continue Sandy on her treatment plan would allow her to live her remaining life comfortably. It is heart breaking to see her as a family member gasping for air.
