About this campaign
My family brought Sandy from the shelter when I was 3 years old. We have been together for 13 years so far. We also have other pets including two chickens and a rabbit. I decided to name my dog Sandy because my favorite tv show was Spongebob Squarepants and Sandy reminded me of Sandy Cheels because of her fur color.
Sandy likes to sleep on her bed, on the living carpet, or at the fuzzy stairs, we have at home. Besides sleeping, she also likes to run and jump around even with her lump, which makes me often worried about her safety. She also likes to take walks to the park and sniff around for anything new. She is always craving attention and if you stop petting her she would stare until you pet her again.
Due to COVID-19, our family had to lose work and as a result of that we cannot afford the medical expenses needed to treat Sandy. We wish for Sandy to be healthy again so that she can go play without the fear of having the mass being ruptured.
Sandy has a tumor-like mass on her mammary gland, and in December we noticed a little lump but we didn't think it was something serious until it grew each month and we knew that something is wrong. At the vet, the veterinarian told us that besides the mass on her body, she also found a heart murmur which added even more worries.
Sandy is afraid of thunder though she wouldn't bark, she just wants to be cuddled until the thunderstorms past. Sandy is very peculiar because she would get bored with her chew toys very easily but she loves to play tag with my younger siblings and have mini races to see who is the fastest. Sandy dislikes water and would stay inside to avoid getting wet and watch the kids inside from the window.
