Hello! Saoirse just turned one and has been living with me and my husband since she was 10 weeks. My husband and I are both busy teachers and she luckily has a grandma to take her to daycare and to move on her when we are at work. We live in a three story townhome which is challenging since she doesn’t have a yard and we rely on walks for her potty time.

Saoirse is a very friendly puppy. She enjoys all her friends at the dog park and has a BFF Poppy who I am sure she is missing running around with. Saoirse LOVES to run and to chase the waves on the shore. She loves all people and is the most curious dog I have come across. She loves to stop and smell all the flowers on her walks and say hello to fellow dog neighbors and their parents. Food!

What makes Saoirse special is how she can become instant friends with all dogs and just wants everyone to run around, wrestle and play. She loves the ocean and to chase the water. Saoirse loves any toy with strings and to chase her balls up and downs the stairs. She will cuddle with anyone who needs a snuggle and she was crate trained, but that didn’t last! She now cuddles with me at nights :)

Saoirse was running and playing catch, then we heard a yelp. She started to limp and the orthopedic surgeon said she has 2.5 grade (right) and grade 3 (left) luxating patella’s and will need surgery on both knees. We have maxed out our insurance this year and will be paying the 9,000 dollar bill ourselves to get her walking and running again to live a happy life.

We are both teachers and have student loans we are still paying among other life expenses. We had insurance for her, but we maxed out our insurance on our Saoirse for the year, so we are having to get creative to find ways to come up with the money to pay for her knees.
