Sapphire is a 6-month-old Chow Chow in New Castle , PA, who needs $2,000 for Possible Parvovirus.

Sapphire and two other Chows were rescued by Animal Control from a terrible hoarding situation. Pet Adoption League of NY took all three into their rescue. Sapphire was very ill when we picked her up at the shelters kennel. We rushed her to the emergency hospital immediately where has has been in critical care since 6/25

She got along fine with the other two Chows she was rescued with. They are currently with a foster while Sapphire fights for her life. We could not tell much about her at this time until she gets out of critical care. We cannot even visit her at this time

We did not even get a chance to spend any time with her. After she came out of the kennel we were shocked at how skinny and lethargic she was. Could barely walk.

Currently Sapphire is in critical care. She has a fever, high heart rate, low glucose and has not eaten in days. She has a feeding tube. Tested for parvo and another test was done today. She recently had a fecal transplant. Today she could pick her head up a bit more. We are helping her fight for her life

This is a very small all volunteer rescue. This bill is currently heading toward $10,000 and will wipe us out. We have seniors in foster care that we pay for along with many other dogs we have rescued.
