About this campaign

Sasha came to us in December. A friend had seen that she was being given away because her owners didn’t have time for her. We found out we are her fourth home in two years. She lives with me and my two kids at our home with a large yard where she can run and play and not be in a crate all day!

When we adopted Sasha she was malnourished, had no current vaccinations, no prevention, and was not spayed. We got her all up to date and spayed, then found out she needs a procedure called a gastropexy to prevent her stomach from “bloat,” or twisting around and cutting off the blood supply to her stomach which can be lethal quickly. This surgery will assure that she does not suffer from that.

Sasha doesn’t realize her size and loves to sit on laps and snuggle into me at bedtime. She loves her walks and we go at least 3 - 5 miles a day. She is our protector and she loves to let people know they are walking by her house. Chasing the ball is a favorite and she loves chasing snowflakes in the winter and laying in the sunshine now that it’s summer. She’s finally home.

I’m a single Mom of two teenagers and didn’t expect to have such a huge surgical expense. Taking care of it now will prevent a more extensive and expensive surgery ($8 - 10,000) and prevent losing her in an incredible painful, yet preventable way.
