Adopt a Pit

Sasha has had a rough go at life in her past few months. She found herself at the local shelter in Dayton Ohio, having been hit by a car. She had a broken pelvis that, fortunately, was repaired quickly through surgery. Less than 48 hours after her surgery, she fell sick with Parvo. It is suspected that the surgery was so hard on her little body, that her immune system was weakened and made her susceptible to this highly contagious, sometimes fatal disease that attacks white blood cells and the gastrointestinal tract.

Sasha was brought into Adopt a Pit rescue, who got her the treatment she needed for Parvo. She was hospitalized for two weeks with a prognosis that was not hopeful. She has fought hard to survive, and we are so thankful she did. She is finally stable, but still has a bit of a way to go.

Sasha is incredibly sweet and just wants love. She is just 2 years old, and deserves to be a healthy, happy dog. She has been through so much in her short life, and Adopt a Pit is doing everything they can to put her sadness and pain in the past.
