Sasha's Story: A German Shepherd in Need of Your Love and Care

Meet Sasha, a sweet German Shepherd who was found wandering the streets of India, struggling with severe health issues and no one to care for her. When she was rescued by the Stray Animal Foundation of India, her condition was heartbreaking. She was suffering from eczema, myiasis (a parasitic infection), and anemia.

Thanks to the amazing team at the Stray Animal Foundation of India, Sasha has already started receiving the medical care she desperately needed. The veterinarians are working tirelessly to treat her conditions, but Sasha’s recovery is far from over. She requires long-term care, continuous medication, and special attention to help her fully heal and regain her strength.

Update 5/8/25:
It hasn’t been quick or easy. Sasha’s recovery has taken months of medical treatment, medicated baths, good nutrition, and — most of all — patience and love.

Today, Sasha is a whole new dog.
✔️ Her painful skin condition has healed
✔️ Her parasite infection is gone
✔️ She’s no longer anemic
✔️ Her fur is growing back — though still patchy in places, she’s looking better every day!
✔️ And most importantly — she’s smiling.

Sasha is happier, more playful, and full of life. She loves her walks, adores gentle cuddles, and has begun to believe that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.
