Sassy is a small white, Shih Tzu Mix, sprayed female, 15 years, 8 months old, weighs 18.6 pounds. I got her from a friend when she was one month old. My friend who saw I was grieving in the loss of my mother felt she'd be a comfort to me. Sassy is exceptionally bright and loved by both children and adults. She's been living in the same environment at home for nearly 16 years.

Sassy's medical care has been routine pet care until presently, (4/18/24) where she was diagnosed with gallbladder mucocele, an enlarged liver with nodules throughout and nodules throughout her spleen. She had an emergency Cholecystectomy; removal of the gallbladder, Splenectomy; removal of the spleen and a liver biopsy. Surgery was held at BluePearl Pet Hospital; Golden Valley, Minnesota.

Sassy is the cutest and smartest dog on the block! She loves fetching balls and returning them for a treat. Also, gives her paw and a bark for a treat and loves you with licks n' licks unceasing. When Sassy sees me coming home, she looks out the Bay window, runs to the front door and jumps and yelps with joy to greet me. Sassy brings me un-endless joy. We have a strong bond and are inseparable!

Surgery is $17,979.62 . Living on fixed income of Social Security , $836.00 a month. I have no retirement, significant savings, no alternative sources. Sassy has been with me all her life. She's my life, my love, and only companion and all I have! Desire healing -wholeness.
