Sassy is a 14-year-old DSH Cat in North Providence , RI, who needs $663 for Treatment for Hyperthyroidism.

Sassy came into my life in summer of 2021. She showed up in the backyard one day and decided she wasn't leaving. In October she just walked in my house like she owned and we never looked back. So i don't exactly know how old she is, I'm guessing around 13/14.

Sassy is one of three cats, which were all strays. It took sometime for them to get along, but Sassy being Queen bee and sassy lol she runs the house. All 3 cats sleep in bed with me every night, and Sassy is a cuddle bug so she has to sleep right next to me or on top of me, Thank god she is only 9lbs.

My poor Sassy girl suffered a stroke in 2020, since then her taste buds changed and all she eats is Chicken baby food. Its funny going to the market and people ask how old my baby is, I reply she is 13.

After having the stroke, she was diagnosed with hypertension, that required many vet visit to check her blood pressure, but now i can check it at home. This past December she was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. Recheck in a month, her levels did not change and was diagnosed with 2 more issues, colitis and heart disease. She is now on 3 medications and special dry food.

The vets at City Kitty in Providence RI are great but pricy. I live alone, living paycheck to paycheck. My credit cards are maxed out and I'm also treating my other cat, who is a diabetic. I'm stretching myself a little thin.
