About this campaign
Satchmo the cat- he’s been a part of our Louisiana life now for 2 years...He’s a goof ball, a cuddle monster, and straight up a proficient “catting” cat- he does all the cat things and he does them well. He lives with our little family and his partner in crime, Jaco in Lafayette, Louisiana and spends his days window watching and blanket warming. His favorite thing about life is living it.
Our boy enjoys playing with his tiny mice toys and kneading fuzzy blankets into the best nest shape possible. If given the opportunity, he will take in the finest cat nip available in order to contemplate his nine lives and how best to spend them- preferably with wet can food and a drippy faucet. He loves his new little human sister- he often can be found watching over her .
We had a hard year with 2020- I could not work due to my pregnancy and Covid; Jordan’s child support payments were messed up and were being double charged. 2021 has started to change for the better for us, but we are still playing catch up especially with moving.
We need to get him to the vet’s office for treatment because he is showing signs of urinary tract issues and possibly blockage. Young male neutered cats get this commonly, and it can be very painful and ultimately deadly. We’re crossing fingers and tails that it’s just an infection, but we want our guy safe and treated.
This guy is a hoot- he knows how to live life well. He has relaxation down to an art and has perfected cat napping. In fact, is suffice to say he is the cat napping champion of Louisiana if not the world. But he has the biggest heart in the world- he tries to act aloof at times, perhaps to act tough and street cat-like, but really inside, he’s all marshmallow.
