Five years ago during COVID, I met my best friend, Sawyer, online while he was on a farm in Virginia. It was love at first sight, and he soon made the journey to join me in New England. His name came from a TV series character. Sawyer brought sunshine into a difficult time and has been my constant companion ever since.

Sawyer recently had a life-threatening urinary blockage from a bladder stone. After a temporary fix, he now urgently needs cystotomy surgery to remove the stones. This is a time-sensitive issue, as another blockage could be fatal. I must schedule the surgery as soon as possible for Sawyers safety.

Sawyer loves walks and play time. He is sweet, full of energy and insists on cuddling on laps despite his size. Sawyer follows me around every room I go in and enthusiastically greets me with his tail wagging every time I come home. I am so lucky to have him.

I am a self supported full-time college student paying for my own education. This is a sudden unexpected expense and at this time I do not have the finances available. Sawyer means everything to me. After surgery the goal is to maintain his health with diet and medication
