Scarface is just a baby. Only a few months old. Cold, scared, and desperate for warmth, he crawled inside a car—never knowing it would change his life forever.

When the car started, Scarface suffered serious trauma to his face and nose. The pain was immediate. The damage was severe. This tiny kitten was rushed for emergency care just to give him a chance to breathe, heal, and survive.

When we were asked to help him, we couldn’t say no. How do you turn away a kitten who has already been through so much?

What we weren’t prepared for was the medical cost that came with saving his life.

Scarface required:

•      Emergency examination

•      Pain control

•      Antibiotics

•      Laser therapy

•      Ongoing treatment for his injured nose

His vet bill came to $334.11, and that’s just for initial care. While the clinic was kind enough to apply discounts, the balance is still due—and more care may be needed as he heals.

Scarface didn’t ask for this.
