Scarlett is a 7-year-old Mixed Breed in Scammon, KS, who needs $2,000 for an ACL repair.

We used to live in the country and a friend that I worked with wasnt able to keep her so she brought her into our life. Our household became different when she came to us. She is the light in our hearts. We have 6 dogs and all of them are loved. Scarlett is the oldest of our pack now. Every new baby that comes in she takes them like they are hers. We had her spayed when she came to us.

This is Scarlett and she tore her ACL in her left knee and needs to get it repaired. She is the pack leader in our home. She loves to go to work at the nursing home but right now it's to painful for her to go. The residents love it when she comes for visits. She has always been a very happy around everyone.

If we could get this surgery done it would mean so much to so many people. She could be happy and be able to run again. And she would be able to go back to the nursing home . It would mean so much to us to get her out of pain.

Scarlett was running in our backyard and somehow tore her ACL. Our vet told us the best place to have her surgery was at K State Veterinarian Hospital. Unfortunately it will cost 4000.00 for the surgery. She is currently on 3 different pain meds which does help with the pain but all she does now is sleep. We want her to get back to being pain free.

Scarlett listens to everything that we say to her and I honestly feel she understands what we say. All I have to do is get dressed for work and she comes to me and gives me a look like am I going mom. Since her injury she doesn't do this anymore. I want her to be her happy self again. Right now she hurts to much. Scarlett is a registered therapy dog also.
