About this campaign
Scooby is not just a dog – he’s my heart dog. If you've ever had a pet that felt like your soulmate, you know exactly what that means. He has been my constant, my comfort, and my joy through life’s toughest moments. He’s one of sweetest souls I’ve ever met – gentle with everyone he meets, always wagging his tail. All he wants is love, belly rubs, and to be by my side.
We rescued rescued from a local shelter. Not long after, he endured heartworm treatment and went into anaphylactic shock during the process. We were lucky to catch it in time and save him.
Then six months ago, he began vomiting and was rushed to the ER, where he needed an emergency splenectomy. A few days later he declined and required another surgery which found damage to his stomach and liver.
Luckily, he recovered from those. But recently, he started regurgitating and stopped eating. He was hospitalized, and biopsies of his GI tract were taken. We were hopeful. But before the biopsy results came back, Scooby declined again. We rushed him to the ER, where they discovered free air in his abdomen — a complication from the biopsies. He needed another emergency surgery to save his life.
He’s now in recovery and we finally have a diagnosis: lymphocytic plasmacytic gastroenteritis, a form of IBD. We’ve done everything we can to fight for him, but the financial toll has become overwhelming. We would do anything to save him — but we can’t do it alone. Thank you
