About this campaign

Meet Scooter. Scooter is half Lab, Half German Sheppard and is 11 months old and my best buddy!

Recently Scooter started limping and favoring his front left leg and has been hopping around with out using that leg :(.

After taking him various places, it turns out that Scooter has elbow displasia which happens to be common in Labs and German Sheparrd dogs.

In short, Scooters left leg is about 6 MM short which means his elbow is not fitting into it's joint.

Scooter is scheduled to have a plate put in his left leg to try to get the elbow to fall into place and regain use of his left front leg on April 11th with VHS in Cary.

After the surgery, there is no guarantee it will fix the problem but the doctor is hopeful it will. He already has signs of arthritis at 11 months old and will need medication for the rest of his life because the arthritis will continue to get worse.

I have already spent about $1500 but the upcoming surgery will be $4500 plus $405 for X rays and then he will need additional physical therapy.

I am asking for help to cover these expenses and hope you can help. I will be more then happy to provide doctors reports, receipts, etc. to anyone who wishes to help. More importantly, Scooter and I will be forever grateful.

I adopted Scooter from Saving Grave and he has brought so much joy to my life. In spite of his condition, he continues to be a very happy puppy!

If you can help, please donate.
