Scottie is a 11-month-old Golden Retriever in Fort Worth, TX, who needs $1,798 for CT Scan with Contrast to Locate Cause of Abscess.

Scottie is our 11 month old puppy. We got her Christmas eve of 2021 from a local family. We got her so our golden retriever Emma would have a sister to play with. Emma almost 3 years old and Scottie is almost 1. In addition to our two furry babies, we have two children who absolutely adore the dogs. They are all best friends. They play together, sleep together, always doing everything together

Scottie is an extremely playful puppy. She wants to play 24/7. Her favorite activities are rough housing with her dog sister Emma and playing tug/wrestling with her human friend (our two kids). She absolutely loves the sprinkler and going to her dog daycare to hang out with her other dog friends. At home she sleeps on a dog bed in the kitchen (she still is a chewer, so we cannot leave her out)

We joke that she has the attitude of a teenager because when you tell her no she looks at you and gives you a big grunt to show you that she does not like what you said. She even does a dramatic flop down when she is extra upset lol. My favorite is when we drop her off at daycare. It is like a kid going to Disneyland, she cannot contain her excitement. It always puts a smile on everyone's face

It started with a mass developing under on side of her neck. We took her to the ER vet 3 days in a row, during that time her mass grew 5 times its size since day 1. She ended up going under and they finally were able to find the abscess, that was 2 inches into her neck. They put a catheter to drain and she was on antibiotics. Now, two months later the growth is back and growing faster than before

The first time around with this cost about $3,000 total. This time around the first step is going to cost $2,000. With the payment before and other recent financial hardships that has come across our family, we do not have the funds to pay for Scottie's treatment
