Scout is a 4-year-old Mixed Breed Dog in Claremont, MN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

Scout came into our lives during a dark time. My husband, and father of our two children, passed away in February 2018 from leukemia. A short time later, our beloved Sammy dog of 8 years passed away as well. Scout brought the life and light back into our lives! He came from a local rescue and he needed us as much as we him! We got him on the proper nutrition due to a skin issue.

Scout loves to sleep in my son's bed and steal food when you turn your back haha! He enjoys playing with his little doggo brother Diesel and snuggling his kitty sister Kismet. He loves tummy rubs from my daughter Josie, but what he's famous for is....he can't hold his licker! He has the best slobbery kisses ever!!!! He loves walks and playing and cannot do those things with a torn ACL.

Scout is our heart dog! He talks when he's excited or when he wants something and it's the cutest thing! We have no idea exactly what his breed makeup is, but we guess the talking may be husky related haha! And don't make a sandwich and run to the bathroom, otherwise you won't have a sandwich when you come back!

Scout started limping earlier this summer and it progressively got worse. Upon a visit to the vet, we found out that Scout has torn his right rear ACL and requires Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy surgery to correct it. He has already developed arthritis in the joint as he is very stiff and has stopped putting weight on that leg. Without surgery, his quality of life will not be like it should.

I am a single mom of two living on a fixed income, and even with savings for the unexpected, this tops what I can do on my own.
