My husband Frank and I always talked about getting a fox red lab named Scout. After researching breeders, we found the sweetest pup and brought her home on 10/14/19. We weren’t sure how the introduction with Grizzly would go but they instantly connected. Even though she is the cause of his premature gray snout, they are inseparable besties!

June of 2023 Scout was diagnosed with Multicentric B cell lymphoma stage IIIa. She completed chemo successfully and was in remission. Last week we found out that one year post diagnosis, the cancer has returned. So we can continue to give her the best shot at life, she needs chemo again. If we cannot do chemo again, she will only have weeks to months (if we’re lucky) left with us.

Scout is a very special girl. I’ve had many dogs in my life but none of them come close to her. She’s incredibly sweet. She loves all people and they love her right back. It’s hard not to! Besides being obsessed with her big bro, she loves socks (especially if they’re smelly), FOOD, going for car rides, visiting the family, and getting as much attention as possible.

Scout received treatment last year putting us in a lot of debt. Now that she needs it again, we don't have the funds we need to treat her cancer. We have many other financial constraints that prevent us from doing so, but we’re not willing to give up on her. Anything helps!
