About this campaign
Scout was bought by us when he was about 10 weeks old in northern ohio. That was about a two and a half hour drive just to get there. When we were looking online we saw pictures of him sitting up straight with some composure, and when we got there we saw exactly that and knew that he was the one to get because he was so well behaved.
Scout lives a very luxurious life of hugs and kisses. Other than Scout we have 3 other dogs, two of them are lap dogs while the other is a 5 month old Rottweiler. We also have plenty of room in our back yard for the 4 of them to run around and play with each other On top of those three dogs we also take him and the Rottweiler to the dog park quite frequently. So he definitively gets exercise
Scout is a Dudley lab, which is a lab with a certain blend of genetics where all of his traits are recessive. As you can see he is a very beautiful dog. On top of that he is super goofy, clumsy, and the smartest dog i've ever met. There have been times when he opens our backdoor when he wanted to either go in or out of our house. So he is a very fun dog to be around and spend time with.
One day me and my mo noticed something about how Scout made his way around. Which included the fact that he walked with a limp, crossed his legs when walking and running, and he scoots his butt under him real quick before he sites down. So we took him to our local vet, and she diagnosed him with hip dysplasia. Scouts surgery will be about 4k for each hip.
The struggle for us is the fact that this was such a huge and sudden expense we weren't ready, because we didn't have an emergency supply of money for things like this.
