Scout is severely malnourished. Will you help this sweet girl?

Scout was found in Londonderry Twp at 11 pm, hunkered down outside all alone and petrified.

She was taken to the emergency vet, but the finder was unable to keep her. Luckily, they had contacted Castaway Critters to care for her.

When they walked into the emergency vet room, they were met with the saddest, most deserving big eyes.

As soon as Scout saw them, it was as if she knew she was going to be ok.

However, she has a long road of healing ahead. She is severely malnourished and underweight. She should weigh approximately 55 pounds but currently weighs about 27 and is very weak. She has fleas and ticks. She smells like the worst kind of stale urine. Her coat is dirty and very dull, and her nails are overgrown.

She will need a slow refeed schedule and a boatload of diagnostics. They did not do that the first night because she was petrified of human touch as much as she wants to be accepting of it.
