About this campaign

Hello everyone, this handsome boy is my soul dog Scout. He is an approx. 8.5 year old border collie x. He is a chaotic, lovable family dog who lives with two younger dog brothers. After losing our mother and shortly after, our family welsh corgi, we were feeling the somber emptiness of our home and Scout is a blessing we were able to adopt from CCRC Dogs.

Scout has had a consultation at Blue Pearl Veterinary Hospital in Southfield and they have informed us of the unfortunate news that he likely has a peripheral nerve sheath tumor - right forelimb. They have recommended amputation of that limb and a ct scan to verify whether the tumor is just in that limb or whether it is also on his spine as well.

Scout is a chaotic, lovable boy. When we first adopted him the adoption counselor made sure to let us know that he was SUPERR special. At the time we didn’t know what that meant but now, oh boy! He is always running around trying to get peace from his two younger brothers. He hates thunderstorms, fireworks, and big fast moving trash cans. However his fav thing is lounging in the recliner w/ my dad

We are a lower middle class family living on a fixed budget with two children in full time college. Receiving any kind of support to help pay for his surgery would mean the world to us. It would release a burden that has weighed on us knowing he is in pain everyday.
