My best friend's mom breeds Australian Shepherds. I was looking to adopt a dog anyway and the latest litter had a bunch of adorable little beans. Out of all of the puppies, she knew that the little bean in the second picture was perfect for me. When she sent me the picture, Scout was the only name that came to mind. He's been my baby since he was born.

Scout tore his ACL earlier this year when playing with his cousin, Queen. Surgery to make the ACL unnecessary was the recommended option. Leaving him to crate rest for 8-16 weeks isn't something I could bring myself to do and letting it heal on its own is asking for problems for later in life. The vet clinic is we took our family dog to when I was young: Companion's Animal Hospital.

Scout loves everyone he meets, even if they don't share the same interest. He's always by my side when I'm home with him. When given the opportunity, he chooses to sleep next to me rather than on his bed or with anyone else. He's not much of a talker, but he has the cutest face that shows exactly what's on his mind: treats, pets, and attention.

I have had a lot of large, unexpected, and almost emergency events come up this last year that have added a very large amount onto my debt. He is my life. It hurts so much to see him in pain, to not be able to get up on the bed or climb stairs. Please, I just need some help.
