A little over a year ago we lost our Sissy Dog to cancer right before she turned 9. We weren’t going to get another dog until I happened to see a picture of him I needed him! My husband got him for me for Christmas and we kept up our “S” puppy names and named him Scrooge. He has 2 doggy siblings “Shipmate” and “Sophie” as well as a 9 and 16 year old human sisters that adore him!

I searched for the best insurance and bought it, but his heart murmur was found at the first vet appointment and won’t cover it. He now goes to a cardiologist at CVCA In Richmond. He has 2 heart defects he was born with . His heart condition affects his everyday life. He can’t play hard, he takes medication Twice a day, he can’t go on walks and so much more.

Scrooge loves his family and he is so loved! In one of the pictures you can see him giving my husband a hug. When we leave and come home, he will run not let us get annytging done until we pick him up and give him a hug. He loves anybody and everybody and every dog he meets! He’s a smart boy! We had an in-home trainer come and he knows many different commands! He wants to learn and has fun!

To have Scrooge healthy for the very 1st time in his life would be amazing! He would be able to play hard, run, go on walks and so much more! He also wouldn’t have to go to the vet every 3 weeks! The surgery could cost up to $10,000! And we would still have to pay for travel
