Sebastian is a 5-year-old Golden Retriever in Farmersville, TX, who needs $1,500 for teeth removal, neutering, and heartworm treatment.

The first time I saw Sebastian, he was in the middle of the street outside my house. He wouldn't come up to me, so I left. The next day, out of no where, he came running up to me from the back of our property. I gave him some water, shade, and kept him out of the street. Sebastian was COVERED in mud and fleas. His hair was matted, 20 pounds under weight, and his teeth were worn to the gums!

I have two smaller dogs, so at first, Sebastian was kept outside and not allowed to interact with them. Once Sebastian was given a haircut, bath, and flea treatment, I introduced him to everyone. Everyone gets along well, but playing can get out of hand on occasion, so they have to be monitored. He was even accepting of the cats.

We already have 3 rescue horses, 2 cows, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. One of the horses had to undergo surgery this year to remove cancerous skin tumors. Sebastian needs his teeth removed, neutering, and heartworm treatment.

Sebastian has been gaining weight and his fleas and skin irritation are gone. His top front teeth are worn down a little, but his lower teeth are completely worn to the gums. The vet thinks he tried to chew his way out of a cage and was eating off the ground for a long time. He will need those teeth removed and treatment for heartworms.

Sadly, Sebastian has no concept of playing fetch. On occasion, he will play with a stuffed squirrel. He makes everyone laugh because he gallops instead of running and he likes to randomly lay on his back sticking his legs straight into the air. He loves to snuggle on the couch and has a cute whimper when he wants your attention.
