Sega is the boss of the house. In April we lost our Italian greyhound to mms and in October we lost our chihuahua to ckd. Our Care credit is maxed out and we are still having to pay for our deceased dogs Banfield wellness plans. Kumo, our being art mix has been having chronic pancreatitis and gallbladder issues. It is Christmas day and Sega's face is swollen and we don't know why. An er vet visit is $200 and we won't even know how much the treatment would be. The last time we had to visit the er vet was with our chihuahua and the quote was 1200 per day for hospitalization and we couldn't afford. Sadly she passed away 2 days later. My heart cannot handle losing another this year. Our vet is not open on Christmas day and our only option is the er vet.
