Sen is a 3-year-old Domestic Long Hair Cat in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $2,000 for Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) repair.

Sen was found in an abandoned parking lot by a rescue organization. I’ve had her since July 2021. We live in a four-plex in Northeast Minneapolis. In the initial exams they deemed her to be a healthy kitty, and since adoption I’ve taken her to regular exams. No health issues had been found until very recently.

Over the course of a year I had browsed hundreds of cats up for adoption. Were they all cute? Absolutely. Did any of them make my heart melt like Sen? Not even close. Now the two of us live happily together. She adores my close friends who visit regularly. We spend a lot of time together since I work from home often. She makes my day brighter.

Each night before I sleep she lays close to me, purring as I read or zone out on my phone. When I get up to shut all the lights off she takes her leave, then greets me in the morning with her “get out of bed” meows. Her favorite pastimes include: staring out the window at the world passing by, playing with ribbons, feathers & wooden sticks, and following me around just to close by.

Sen needs advanced surgery in order to live a normal life asap. It's scheduled for the week of April 25th at Mission Animal Hospital with Dr. Hadley. She has a diaphragmatic hernia and her intestines are stuck in her chest; putting pressure on her lungs. She started throwing up a couple of weeks ago, then tested positive for pancreatitis. A following x-ray revealed the need for surgery.

Her treatment will cost between $2,262 - $5,000. Sen deserves the ability to breath without pain in her chest, and to overall experience a healthy peaceful existence. We have a deep connection and my life wouldn't be the same without her.
