We adopted Sarge from a shelter in 2017. My husband and I have a blended family with 7 kids and thought a dog would be a wonderful addition to the chaos. We've had no regrets. Sarge is convinced he's a lapdog and maybe a parrot, loves his Wubby, and loves his humans even more.

3 months ago we noticed a lump on his one leg, we weren't immediately concerned thinking it was a cyst developing. Unfortunately it's a malignant mast cell tumor. We had hoped he could have surgery to remove it, but due to its location on his rear leg surgery with good margins wasn't possible. He just started an at-home chemo treatment, but there's more to come according to our vets.

I've been know to say Sarge is 100lbs of derp. He's a big dog with a big bark, but he turns into a wiggly puddle as soon as he gets butt scritches and treats. Plush toys will be unstuffed quickly, unless it's his Wubby. If it squeaks, he'll desqueak it. He's a big baby who loves when friends come to visit, sometimes he's so excited he can't control his bladder.

Due to medical issues of my own I am having a hard time finding a steady income, and my husband is already working 2 jobs. 7 days a week, 8-10 hours a day. Sarge is part of our family. We want him to have a long healthy life.
