Shadow is a 13 year old American Shorthair in Batesville, AR, who needs $1,500 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.

Shadow is my ESA for my mental health due to disability. I saved him 10 years ago from being dumped on the street and he is currently 13. He is a gray American shorthair and one happy healthy cat on a regular basis.

Today January 16th, shadow was diagnosed with an ACL tear from a fall. Due to his advanced age his vet suggested that he is better off having the surgery than trying to heal on his own. The surgery cost an entire monthly salary for me living on disability. They said the surgery alone would cost approximately $1,000, and that is without aftercare and medications.

Shadow lived in a home where he hid and was not a social cat. When his previous owner was going to dump him and I took him in he immediately changed. He started to become playful, hanging out all over the house, he became very vocal and very loving in his own way. I have had a rough 10 years but with Shadow by my side I believe this cat has saved my life.

I understand that he is an older cat but this cat is my best friend he has helped my depression and social anxiety. I am on disability and there's no way I could save up enough money in 2 weeks for his surgery. This is my last hope to help my best friend.
