Shadow is a 1-year-old Blue Heeler/Labrador mix in Columbia, TN, who needs $1,050 for pins to be put in her leg so her broken bones heal properly.

We found her under our car when leaving to take our other dog to the vet. We got her into the vet the next day. She had a severe worm infestation and both bones in her rear left leg are broken. The vet guessed she was only 8-9 weeks old and had been on her own for most of that time based on her health. We have kept her and given her a caring home. Our american bulldog has taken to her like her own. Which is odd because she has never gotten along with any other dog she has encountered. It has brought out a very nurturing side to our 4 year old american Bulldog. Shadow loves to cuddle with us all and is very sweet and playful. After just two weeks she is already learning to signal when she needs to potty and will sit for us.
