Shadow is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Holts Summit, MO, who needs $2,000 for Bilateral Carpal Arthrodesis Surgery.

In 2018, my husband and I were at a small animal auction in our home town of Fulton Missouri. There was a man there with a box of puppies he was giving away, I had no interest. One little puppy had other plans and it was clear he was my shadow, and that is how he got his name. We lived in the country, he had never been in a kennel or on a chain, he is a free spirit, friendly, and very loving dog.

On February 26th 2025, Shadow went over an overpass and fell 30 feet, receiving injuries to both front paws and a bruised lung. He spent 8 days at Southwest animal hospital in Jefferson City. He needs Bilateral Carpal arthrodesis surgery, which will be done in Kansas City Missouri. at the K9 animal hospital. The approximate cost is $13,000.00

Shadow doesn't know he's a dog, he knows he's a good boy. He is very vocal loves to talk, and has to be acknowledged. He loves people and really likes his bottom just above the tailed scratched and will figure out how to get someone to do it, everytime. He is our families best friend and he loves to run, which he can not do presently, which is why we need to raise money. Paws for Shadow.

To know Shadow is to love Shadow. Seeing him helpless and not being able to hardly walk is heartbreaking. To think he may never walk or run again is heart shattering. You can see the sadness in his eyes when he goes outside and can nolonger run and play in the grass only lay
