She is a mid-size poodle-type dog I recently found as a stray in my area. She was severely matted and likely neglected for a long time, with tight mats covering most of her body. I have been slowly removing them and giving her a safe place to rest. She is now in my home, beginning to decompress and adjust to a calm environment. So far has gotten along well with people, kids, and my dogs!

She is suspected to be around 5 weeks pregnant and needs veterinary evaluation as soon as possible. Despite everything she’s been through, she is incredibly gentle and trusting. She barely moved while I carefully cut painful mats from her coat for hours. She is calm, affectionate, and quietly seeks comfort once she feels safe. She gets along with other dogs and has such a soft, resilient personality.
