Shark is a 4-year-old Pitbull in Glendale, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Eyelid Tumor Removal.

Shark lives with me, a mid-20 year old graduate student who rescued with hopes to give him a better life. No one else wanted Shark and I am doing my best to do right by him and provide him with the best life that I can. Shark and I live in an apartment together so it’s easier for him, and he sleeps with his “shark blanket” every night!

Shark loves to sleep on his back with all his paws in the air like the goofball that he is. He loves rope toys and playing fetch, he has fun splashing around at dog beach when we visit California, he will never turn down a pup cup, and above all, he LOVES people and other animals. He is a very friendly and social dog that wants to be everyone’s buddy and give them all the kisses he has.

Shark is special because he’s survived so much and still has the sweetest personality. He is beloved by all and loves people, other animals, and babies. Despite his previous owner suffering a gunshot wound and Shark being beaten badly by the attackers, hip surgery, numerous healed fractures, beating Valley fever, and now an eye tumor, Shark is a happy boy who I am trying to do right by.

Shark has a laundry list of medical conditions, but his upcoming surgery is to remove a tumor on his eyelid. He is being treated at eye care hospital for animals, and they did their best to give me a student rate, but even with that, it’s difficult. After the lesion is removed, he’ll be on steroids and antibiotics post-op, and hopefully, that should get him back to his tail wagging self!

I am a graduate student in a medical program. I rescued Shark because I wanted to give him a better life, but I am taking out student loans for my education. I do work study to help pay for my education/living needs and Shark, but this surgery is more than I can afford.
