Shea came to us from a backyard breeder rescue situation. We had originally gone to meet her brother, but the moment we arrived she instantly bonded with my daughter and chose us. Shea was born Feb 10, 2025 and we brought her home at about 3 months old. She now lives with our family and our other dog, Jaida, who is her constant companion and playmate.

Shea was recently diagnosed with bilateral cranial cruciate ligament tears along with severe hip dysplasia and hip subluxation after veterinary exam and radiographs. Because both knees are affected, TPLO surgery is recommended to stabilize her legs and restore comfortable mobility. Shea is currently under the care of the orthopedic team at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.

Shea has worked her way into every part of our family. She spends most weekdays with me, while my wife and daughter each have their own special bond with her. Shea and my daughter instantly connected the day we met her. She is goofy, playful, and full of personality with her little underbite, but also the sweetest snuggler and a true gentle giant.
