Shelby is a four year old Catahoula. I’ve had her since she was 11 weeks old. I adopted her from an animal rescue. She’s been my travel buddy and best friend ever since. She’s always been in great health and she’s a beautiful soul to have as a best friend.

I took Shelby out for a walk two days ago. I suddenly noticed her bottom lip/jowl area was suddenly swollen. I figured maybe a mosquito bite or just some type of bug. I figured I’d give it until the morning. The next morning (yesterday) it was even more swollen so I gave her some Benadryl. It’s been 24 hours and it has not worked. The swelling is spreading along her jawline and is now bleeding.

Shelby is such a sweet girl. She is extremely smart and she fun to have around. She’s has a beautiful soul and everyone who has met her has enjoyed her presence.

I currently had surgery two months ago which I paid out of pocket. Needless to say I’m in a very uncomfortable financial situation currently as I play catch up after my surgery. I have zero “extra” or emergency money at the moment.
