About this campaign
“Shelby” was found as a stray by a concerned citizen. He was brought to Mission Animal Hospital to be evaluated for injuries likely from getting hit by a car. I took him in and am offering him a chance to heal from these injuries.
“Shelby” is truly a sweet little man. So far he has been a very sweet purr machine that makes biscuits during his medication time. My resident cats are very interested in him and seem to enjoy watching him while he’s cage rested.
I haven’t had a long time with Shelby yet, but what I know is that he is a kind, sweet boy who enjoys cheek scratches, wet food and is worth fighting for. He doesn’t complain about taking his medications and is a very well socialized cat considering he is a stray. He has stolen my heart already.
Mr. “Shelby” has a fractured hip with bilateral SI laxations. It can heal with strict cage rest but gold standard is to surgical repair the damage. I would like to attempt to fix the damage and give him a shot at full recovery with little issues in the future.
I am a single mother who works at an animal hospital. I have resources others don’t have but the surgery is still very expensive and a cost I can’t cover myself. I want to give him a chance at normal life after having a rough start.
