Shellz is a 6-year-old Pitbull in Wayne, MI, who needs $1,600 for Pyometra.

Shellz currently lives in a household with myself, my boyfriend and his son. My boyfriend bought her from a friend prior to us meeting. First day I met her the bark was more intimidating then she ever could be. She is the sweetest dog ever who loves kids. She has her own backyard and friends on both sides of the fencing.

Shellz is the baby of the family. She loves being outside laying in the sun. She hates the rain (or any water she isn't drinking). My boyfriend and I talk all the time about how inquisitive she is and in tune with our emotions. She lays on the floor but we always make sure she has nice plush blankets to soften the lay.

Since covid 19 my boyfriend who is a maintenance tech was on unemployment while I was able to keep my job but our bills never stopped. My boyfriend has a 13 yr son he cares for alone. We are barely making it. We haven't had a chance to replenish our emergency fund.

Shellz has pyometra. We noticed her slight changes in her behavior. I noticed a puss like liquid coming from her private part. I googled it to see what it could possibly be and after reading several results immediately went and told my boyfriend. He did the same thing I did and we seem to come to the same result. We decided to take her to the vet and the Dr. Ajaib Dhaliwal confirmed it.

She is always there. No matter what the situation is when I get into a room with Shellz she will come over and sit right in my face. If I don't move fast enough for her she will then place her face in my lap or sit right next to me (she has to touch you). One time, while I was petting her, she tried to climb on the couch into my lap.
