About this campaign
Sherlock came into the family due to a barista from Starbucks that was a breeder for basset hounds. When my wife was recovering from cancer in 2013, she asked us to come to her house to see the pups. Out of the 8 pups she had this one little pup made his way over to us and no one else. Our barista said that he was ours as she has never seen any of her pups do that.
Sherlock will sleep in the bedroom with me. Sometimes he will sleep in his nice and comfy bed and then there are times that I will wake up and he has jumped into the bed with me during the night. He loves everyone and loves to give sugars to anyone that he comes in contact with no matter who they are.
When it comes to Sherlock he loves food. However, if I go in the kitchen to the fridge to get some carrots he is right there trying to get them out of my hand. So he and fight over carrots, but my boy wins every time with those big beautiful eyes and that loving face just staring at you. He is totally afraid of fireworks and thunder.
On Christmas Day Sherlock did not seem to act himself as he was retching and coughing and then spitting up white foamy liquid. I had to get him there as soon as I can as he may need oxygen. After 4 days in the ER he has been diagnosed with Aspiration Pneumonia and a dilated esophagus which is now normal but still fighting the pneumonia. He was seen at Memphis Veterinary Specialists by Dr. Bayless.
I am a disabled veteran and just for these 4 days that he was in the ER I depleted all of my savings to try and get him well as he is also my service dog. It will mean the world if I can get funding for his upcoming medical appointment in a couple of days.
