About this campaign
When Sherman, a 3-year-old cat, came to the Adopt a Cat Foundation, he was drooling excessively and struggling to eat. Despite having undergone dental work previously, his symptoms persisted, leaving him in a constant state of misery.
Adopt a Cat took Sherman to a different veterinary clinic for a second opinion and a thorough examination and dental x-rays. What they found explained everything—his previous dental procedure had left behind old roots beneath his gums, which were causing him significant pain and preventing him from healing properly.
The veterinary team removed 20 of his teeth, along with the leftover roots that had been overlooked. Thanks to this life-changing procedure, Sherman is on the road to recovery. Without the constant pain in his mouth, he can now look forward to eating comfortably and living his best life.
However, Sherman’s care has been costly, and Adopt a Cat needs your help to cover the expenses of his dental surgery and ongoing recovery. Please consider donating today to help Sherman heal and thrive.
Update 12/21/24:
Sherman is doing so much better after his dental! He is excited to eat and it is clear his pain is receding, if not gone. Sherman is still early in his recovery but so far he is doing incredibly well!
Update 2/1/2025:
Unfortunately, Sherman had to go back to the vet. He is continuing to have inflammation even after the dental and removing his teeth. He was put on medications to hopefully help decrease the inflammation.
