About this campaign
My sweet loving cat Shiloh came to me when I found out her family was having a baby and could no longer care for her. She has been my family member for 5 years and shares a home with other rescued cats. Shiloh has especially bonded with my other long haired cat Alex. But since she became ill, she mostly isolates herself. She desperately needs surgery to remove a mass in her mouth.
Shiloh likes to hang out on the back of the sofa and look out the window. She is the neighborhood watch cat. She struts around proudly with her tail held high and loves her entire kitty family. Now because of her mouth mass, she can no longer clean herself. I try to bathe her frequently but it's hard for me because of back problems.
I am a senior citizen who retired early due to a disability. My income is very limited and I have additional expenses due to my disability. It breaks my heart to have a Shiloh going through this misery. I will be forever grateful to anyone who can help us.
Shiloh has a large mouth mass that pushes her tongue outside. This makes it impossible for her to eat dry food and difficult for her to drink. I put water in her wet food to make it easier to eat while also hydrating her. She constantly drools and frequently paws at her mouth. Her mouth is painful making it very difficult to give her medicine. Hopefully surgery will give her back quality of life.
Shiloh loves to rub her paws on her cardboard scratch pad and then just lay on it. When she was well she would cuddle with Alex. She is just such a tolerant cat, even when she has to endure long bathing sessions. She likes to be brushed and groomed. I hope to be able to do that again after her surgery when her mouth no longer hurts.
