Shipmate is a 14 year old Mix-Breed in Columbia , MD, who needs $2,000 for Continue Hospitalization for Monitoring.

Shipmate came into my life when I was 11 and it was the best day of my life. His usual living situation is with me at my home, but currently is in the hospital right now due to an emergency.

Shipmate’s medical situation is complicated and most of all expensive. He came into Veterinary Emergency Group one night due to throwing up what looks like his feces and acting lethargic after accidentally ingesting ibuprofen. He needs more hospitalization because the doctors found fluids in his abdomen. I cannot afford to keep him hospitalized anymore, but he needs to be monitored for more nights

Shipmate is special in his own ways. He is very loving when he gets to know you. He loves to be with people he knows and loves pizza. He is very special to me especially because he is my comfort in life when times are tough and when times are okay.

I have maxed out my efforts to keep him hospitalized for 4 nights. The doctors are saying that he most likely will need more hospitalization to be able to monitor his kidneys and GI bleed. I really want him to recover enough to be home with me and not in extreme pain anymore
