About this campaign
Shiro came into our lives about 2–4 months ago when we chose him and brought him home. From the very first day, he has been pure joy — a fluffy, golden bundle of energy who filled our home with warmth and laughter. We chose the name Shiro, meaning “white” in Japanese, because of his beautiful coat. He is still so young, just 4 months old, and has barely had the chance to grow into the world.
Shiro suffered a serious fracture of the femur bone in his back left leg, along with damage to the growth plate. Because he is still a puppy, the growth plate injury is especially critical — if left untreated, it can cause permanent deformity and lifelong pain. Our veterinarian has made it clear that surgery is not optional, it is the only path to giving Shiro a normal life. Total cost is $8977
Shiro is the kind of puppy who makes you smile the moment you look at him. Fluffy, curious, and full of love, he follows us from room to room and melts into our arms for cuddles. In just a few months, he has become an irreplaceable part of our family and our daily routine. He is playful, gentle, and trusting — he has no idea why he is hurting, and that breaks our hearts. He deserves a happy life.
One of us recently lost our job, and since we just got him, we have no emergency savings, and never expected a $8977 surgery bill this soon. We’ve exhausted every option. Having Shiro healthy again means our family is whole — we can’t bear to let him down.
