About this campaign
At only 3 weeks old Shock came to us with his siblings and mom after being left in a crate in front of the HQ building for the rescue I worked for. We took the whole family in as a foster family and ended up falling in love with him, so naturally he joined our family of 6 at the time. He’s been the sweetest, most loving cat, and we really don’t know what we’d do without him.
Shock has gone through it, recently he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, pemphigus Complex, which is an umbrella term for a group of diseases that cause his body to attack the top layer of his skin. Shortly after we got that under control Shock started showing signs of a urinary blockage. We rushed him to the vet where he spent the next 5 days being in the hospital.
Shock is the most loving well rounded kitty I’ve ever met. He hasn’t met a soul, human or animal, that he hasn’t become friends with. The vet staff hes met love him, and so does anyone else who has the pleasure of meeting this little guy. He loves to play, he loves to soak in the sun, and especially he loves his cat trees.
5 days in the hospital, one being an overnight at an emergency clinic, adds up. The total bill equals almost $1000, which is a huge unexpected expense, especially after having to spend so much to get the autoimmune disease diagnosed and treated. Any help would be appreciated
