We adopted Shom in Lancaster Ca. Drove 2hrs as the kids drilled us on where we were going. Shom is now 9 yrs old. Acts like a human trapped in a K9 body. I’m a disabled stay @ home Dad & she is my best Friend. She keeps me from giving up when I have my bad days.
Shom is an American Bulldog. She has had 2 litters & we have kept a male named Mr. Crowley from her first batch.

Shom is the greatest protector of our family. From sleeping side by side in bed as the kids grew up with her to becoming my support though out my battle of my disability. We have 2 dogs / 1 Boa / 2 tortoise. I love waking all of them up to start the day with me. I know her thoughts & have developed a way to communicate to me over the years By tapping her hand into my palm & talking to me.

Shom means more to us than anybody really realizes till she fell I’ll. She knows love & has countlessly proven herself to the family & Myself with great pride on her loyalty to our family. As head of the pack she looks @ me for safety / love. I have always made sure she has both. She needs my help & I see that in her eyes.I need to make sure as head of the pack that she is shown the same love/care

We are reaching out & doing all we can with the ability we have @ this time. I’m nursing her as if she was my own & thankful that I am home to be with her. We hope the cancer is not in the lungs & that they are able to remove the mass/Tumor to give her the time she deserves in life. The kids are not giving up & neither will I.

I’m a stay @ home Dad due to my disability. My spine is pretty much dissolving. I’ve had multi spine surgery’s & fighting for full disability @ the president time. I’ve been off work going on 2yrs now & losing the ability to walk & function properly.
