Poseidon "Si" or "Si-bert" as he loves to be called came into our lives after we lost a 3 year old Dane to kidney disease. Though we knew he would never replace Diesel, it is undeniable how much of a part of our family he is and always will be. He was 18 months old and was on his way to a shelter to be dropped off when I asked about about him and commented on him. Fate no doubt!

Si has 1 brother, another dane named Gunnar. They together enjoy their 7 acres and bee farm. Making use of every couch in the house and messing up freshly made beds. They allow Us to cohabitate with them.

Si has 1 blue eye and has beautiful markings. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He enjoys being a 130 lb lap dog. He and his brother are almost 8 years old, but you would never know it. They way they run and play keeps them young at heart. He is very active and even gets the zoomies still!

Si was perfectly fine sat 8/12/23 when my wife and I left for a trip. Our daughter came home from work at 830 to find him lethargic and a poop in the house with blood in it. we came home from the trip and we were in ER for 12 hrs and then he stayed overnight. they found a fistula in his colon that we suspect may be ruptured. He is in good spirits, but his clock is ticking.

They estimate the cost of the surgery to be $15 to 17,000. They are uncertain if they even know if this is the real issue. Or he can be saved. He has an appointment with another vet today (8/14/23) several dog surgeons have already seen him and no one has seen this before
